Telehealth Appointments

Glover St Surgery offers Telehealth appointments at the end of the Doctors daily clinic for patients who are unable to come into the practice, to be eligable for a telephone call you must have been in the practice within 12 month period to be able to get a Medicare rebate. 

Appointments

Please telephone between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday for an appointment.

The Doctors here at Glover St Surgery treat our patients as individuals and aim to provide quality care at all times, given that, they do at times run late. During times when the Doctors are running late, please be patient with our staff. Reception are not responsible for the delay. Please treat them with the respect they deserve.

After Hours

For access to the after hours GP service please call GP Access on 1300 130 147. Their experienced Registered Nurses and call takers will provide you with the most appropriate care and advice and if required, arrange an appointment at one of their five clinics.

Prescriptions

It is the policy of this practice that an appointment be made for all script requests. 

Your pharmacist should tell you when they have dispensed the last repeat.

Please contact reception as soon as possible to book an appointment for a new prescription. 

Paper copies of your repeats will note how many supplies have been dispensed and how many repeats you have left.

X-Ray Results

Results

For all results, please contact the surgery to make a follow-up appointment with your doctor.

 

Results are not given without a follow up appointment with the doctor.

Travel Vaccinations

It is recommended to book an appointment with your Doctor at least 4-6 weeks prior to travelling overseas to discuss vaccination requirements

 

Glover Street Surgery is a registered Yellow Fever vaccine provider.

Your medical records are confidential documents. It is practice policy to maintain security of personal information, to ensure this information is only available to authorised members of staff.  For a copy of our privacy policy please see our practice manager.

We understand many patients have been attending our surgery for several years. However, we will ask you to confirm your identity at every visit to ensure your privacy is protected.

Zero Tolerance Policy

All our staff are trained and dedicated to serve you and you will be treated with courtesy and respect at all times. In return, we ask that you and anyone that you bring with you to the practice treat our administrative and clinical staff with the same courtesy and respect. 

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to any verbal, aggressive, bullying, violent or abusive behaviour towards our doctors, staff and nursing team or other patients. We respectfully advise you, that abuse and/or violence will not be tolerated. If required the Police will be called and may result in the person concerned being removed from our practice list.

Opioids

The Doctors at this practice DO NOT prescribe Opioids

Feedback and Complaints

If you are not happy with any aspect of your care whilst visiting Glover Street Surgery, we would like to hear about it so that we may improve our services and respond to your feedback.

Please ask to speak to our Practice Manager who will assist you in this matter. IIf you are not happy with the way in which your complaint has been managed, then you may contact the Health Care Complaints Commission. Contact details are provided below.
